Preface

This fourth edition of CSA Standard C92.1 supersedes the first edition published in 1943 as CSA Standard Z92, Recommended Practice of Industrial Lighting, the second edition published in 1954, entitled Canadian Standard Practice for Industrial Lighting, and the third edition published in 1967.

CSA Standard C92.1-1975, Industrial Lighting, is basically the same as ANSI Standard A1.1-1973, American National Standard Practice for, Industrial Lighting, which has been adopted as a Canadian Standard subject to the modifications and additions attached.

This Standard was prepared by the Committee on Industrial Lighting under the jurisdiction of the Sectional Committee on Illumination, and was formally approved by these Committees.
