Scope
1.1 This Standard applies to the continuous measurement of nitric oxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in air.
1.2 This Standard sets forth the chemiluminescence method for the measurement of the concentration of nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide between 10 µg·m-3 and 20 mg·m-3 at 25°C and 101.3 kPa.
Notes:
(1) All concentrations referred to throughout this Standard are based on a temperature of 25°C and an atmospheric pressure of 101.3 kPa unless otherwise stated.
(2) Three possible calibration procedures are described; the primary standard being either a standard mixture of nitric oxide in nitrogen or a standard nitrogen dioxide permeation device.
