1. Purpose
1.1 The purpose of this document is to provide a method of measuring annual fuel utilization efficiencies of residential furnaces and boilers.
2. Scope
2.1 This Document includes: (a) test method for cyclic and part load performance, (b) methods for interpolating and extrapolating test data, (c) calculation procedures for establishing seasonal performance.
2.2 This document applies to central furnaces and boilers with natural gas, propane, fuel oil or electric input intended for use in residential applications.
