Preface
This is the first edition of CSA Standard B335, Industrial Lift Truck Operator Training. It was developed in response to the expressed societal need for guidelines relating to lift truck operator safety and training.
The requirements result from a consensus of the Committee members, who represent a broad spectrum of interests, both local and national. The members were encouraged and aided by the public comments received as a result of wide distribution of the draft.
This Standard was prepared through the volunteer efforts of a number of people over a period of several years. This Standard was prepared by the Subcommittee on Industrial Lift Truck Operator Training under the jurisdiction of the Technical Committee on Materials Handling Equipment and the Standards Steering Committee on Materials Handling and Logistics. It was formally approved by both these Committees.
