Preface
1.1 This Standard deals with the repair of reinforced, structural concrete components of buildings only. It is not intended to apply to structures which do not come within the definition of a building.
1.2 This Standard does not cover repairs to prestressed, including post-tensioned, components and structures. Neither does it cover repairs to non-structural slabs-on-ground.
1.3 This Standard is generally limited to materials and procedures pertaining to such repairs which are accepted as proven technologies in effecting repairs.
1.4 This Standard does not include repairs to the following:
(a) docks and wharves;
(b) highway bridges;
(c) bins, tanks, and silos; or
(d) treatment plants.
1.5 This Standard requires the preparation of recommendations for installation of appropriate protection materials or systems and post-repair maintenance schedules, for the protection of
repaired structures or components.
1.6 This Standard does not prohibit the use of innovative procedures and/or materials.
